People across race and place believe that both adults and youth deserve the resources and opportunity to have a good life, and that even when mistakes are made, we all need the ability to be redeemed and allow all who are impacted to heal. Yet, we have a criminal justice system created by a handful of people is one that has focused on profits and punishment, not prevention and redemption, nor breaking cycles.

The top watched true crime show, "I am a Killer" is launching an episode called "Redemption" that follows the life of ISAIAH co-executive Director and her incarcerated husband, Jamel Dontez Hatcher. Their family story is one of tragedy and trauma, but doesn't end there. It is filled with hope, love, redemption and restoration.

Join us Thursday, Oct. 24th at 6:30pm for a powerful watch party of this episode and a panel with state leadership, community leaders about what is possible for us in MN to invest in our youth today and create more opportunities for tomorrow.

Liberation Aloud is amplifying the voices and talents of those who have been cast aside by the US injustice system.

  • Storytelling and Debate: Providing platforms for narrative sharing and intellectual engagement, empowering individuals to reclaim their narratives.

  • Advocacy for Restorative Justice: Promoting a justice system that emphasizes healing and rehabilitation over punishment.
